editor's note: TWolfPack.com is proud to present to you the 2010 NBA Fantasy Draft. TWolfPack member Chad Cox and I have taken it upon ourselves to not only draft the starting lineups for every team in the league (each of us picked every other pick) but also present our decisions as if the draft took place live on ESPN. We'll post five new picks every couple of days until we're through the first round, and then post the subsequent rounds in their entirety. If you don't feel like reading the ESPN commentary you can scroll to the end of the article to view a listing of the picks. To view picks 1-5 please click here.

Scott: And we’re back, and not a moment too soon, Stern is coming to the podium.

Stern: Picking 6th in the NBA Draft will be the Portland Trailblazers

Bilas: Interesting to see who they go with here, this is a team with a history of pretty solid moves.

Jackson: Meh, who cares, Kobe is off the board!

JVG: I say they go Deron Williams here, the best available point guard, better than any of the available big men, and probably the best piece to build around on the board.

Scott: Well, we’re about to find out, here comes Stern.

Stern: With the 6th pick of the NBA Draft, the Portland Trailblazers select Carmelo Anthony

Bilas: Probably the best pick on the board.

JVG: I like Williams better from a “build around him” kind of piece, but Anthony is a true superstar who has matured as a person, and is an excellent piece to build around.

Jackson: Hey, guys…

Scott: Shut up Mark, Stern is about to announce the next team.

Stern: The Washington Wizards have won the right to the 7th pick, and would also like to announce that they will be changing their team nickname. In an effort to no longer be associated with the negative images that the word “Wizard” conjures, no pun intended, they will now be known as the Washington Sea Dogs. Thank you.

Scott: Well that’s an interesting development. I’m actually getting word that “Sea Dogs” was actually one of the finalists when the team changed their name to the Wizards back in 1996.

Jackson: That’s dumb. What’s a sea dog?

Bucher: Sea Dogs is actually a Russian 2000 computer role playing game and was originally titled Корсары: проклятие дальних морей.

JVG: I think Buch just threw up on himself.

Scott: No, that was just the Russian language. Beautiful isn’t it.

Stephen A. Smith: Sorry I’m late guys, what are we talking about?

Bilas: Stephen, what are you doing here? How’d you get in?

Smith: What do you mean?

Scott: You were fired. You don’t work for ESPN anymore.

Smith: You’re correct, but I had a clause in my contract stating that if any professional sports league went through a total realignment via fantasy draft that I would not only be able to work at the event, but I would receive my full yearly salary just for doing so. So, here I am. Who’s laughing now Robert Iger?!?!?!

Scott: Uhhh, Stephen, I wouldn’t say anything negative about Mr. Iger.

Jackson: Who’s Robert Iger?

Scott: He’s the President and CEO of Disney. Basically he runs everything.

Smith: I’m not afraid of him. YOU HEAR THAT BOB?!?! WHO’S THE MAN NOW!??! DO I STILL (makes finger quotes) “NOT RELATE WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?” MAYBE YOU’RE THE ONE WHO SHOULD STOP TALKING SOMETIME!!! MAYBE I’M NOT ...

(hole opens in floor and Stephen A. Smith is lost in Wonderland with Alice and the Queen of Hearts)

Scott: The lesson as always? Don’t mess with Disney. Now here’s the commissioner.

Stern: With the 7th pick in the 2010 NBA Fantasy Draft, the Washington Sea Dogs select Deron Williams. The Boston Celtics are next on the clock.

Scott: Well the most historic franchise in pro basketball is finally up, thoughts gentleman?

Jackson: Well –

Scott: wasn’t talking to you Mark.

Stephen A Smith: (From somewhere) OH NO HE DIDN’T!

Bilas: Nice (Fist bumps Scott)

JVG: Well guys, I think Ainge goes with KG here… I know, I know, KG is on the back end of his career, and there are still better options who will be with the team a long time, but KG did save Ainge’s job when Ainge completed the deal that sent Al Jefferson to Minnesota, he sort of owes KG.

Bilas: Well Jeff, he did get his title with KG, and we know he was in love with Jefferson, here’s his chance to get a more mature player in Jefferson today and get the best of both worlds… KG may even be there in the 2nd round.

Scott: Here comes Stern

Stern: With the 8th pick in the NBA Fantasy Draft, the Boston Celtics select Brandon Roy

JVG/Bilas: Woah!!!! Didn’t see that coming!

Scott: I don’t think I’m the only one that was surprised by that pick. Brandon Roy can school some kids, but I’m just not sure if he’s better than some of the other players still available. Namely ... Chris Bosh.

Bilas: I agree Stu. Like you said, Roy is a nice player, but you get the feeling that we’ve already seen his potential. He’s not going to be a future league MVP, and when you get a chance to take one of the eight best players in the league you hope for a little more than that. I would consider taking him a couple picks later, but not here ... Not now.

Jackson: You guys are crazy. Did you see that buzzer-beater he made against Houston last year? He was down-right balling that night.

JVG: Mark, do you actually watch the games or just check out the SportsCenter top-10 every night?

Jackson: Your mom just checks out the SportsCenter top-10 every night.

Bilas: Very mature.

Scott: Let’s send it to the commissioner before this gets out of hand.

Stern: Before we announce the 9th pick we have an announcement to make. Since this entire night is taking place “for the good of the league” ... We’re going to make another unannounced change. The Oklahoma City Thunder are being stripped from their current ownership and returned to Seattle to be sold publicly to the good people from the Pacific Northwest. I understand now that I made a mistake in letting the team move in the first place and this change of ownership and location is only right. With that said ... The Seattle Supersonics are now on the clock.

(Stern is interrupted with the pick before he even gets off the stage and returns to the podium)

Well that was fast. With the 9th pick in the 2010 NBA Fantasy Draft the Seattle Supersonics select Kevin Durant. You’re welcome Seattle.

Bilas: Speaking of a guy who could one day be a league MVP ...

JVG: In my opinion it was between Durant and Bosh and either guy would have been a great pick. And what a classy move by the commissioner sending the Sonics back to Seattle.

Scott: Yes, this is a happy moment for everybody. Well, except for the people in Oklahoma. They’re probably pissed right now.

Jackson: If you think they’re mad just imagine how Clay Bennett feels.

Bilas: M’eh. He deserved it.

Scott: Agreed. Agreed.

Scott: Guys, we are now joined by Danny Ainge, GM Of the Celtics. Danny, these bozos on stage want to know why you picked Brandon Roy over Kevin Durant and Chris Bosh

Ainge: Well guys, you should be embarrassed that I even have to explain this, but here I go. First, I can’t believe how quickly people have forgotten about how good Brandon Roy is, I mean seriously, you are arguing that guys like Bosh and Durant should have been selected before him? Are you serious?!?

Jackson: Danny-

Ainge: That was a rhetorical question Mark… RHETORICAL… look it up sport. Anyways, Brandon Roy is one of the best guards in the entire league. Kevin Durant is a 6’ 9” jump shooter… if I want one of those, I will take Rashard Lewis, Ryan Anderson, Mike Dunleavy Jr., or any number of guys much later. And Bosh is a very exciting player, but these tall, skinny, athletic guys come along every year, and never turn in to franchise cornerstones. There are few exceptions, there is Kevin Garnett, and actually that’s it in terms of guys winning it all the past decade or more. And if you think Chris Bosh is anything like Kevin Garnett in terms of heart, determination, competitiveness, or the team player KG is, I can’t help you.

Bilas: I think Mark was going to agree with you Danny.

Ainge: I know, I didn’t want him ruining my argument.

Bilas: Gotcha. But Danny, Durant and Bosh have untapped potential that Roy has already maxed out.

Ainge: Really Jay, Bosh is actually a couple months older than Roy, and while Durant is younger, what “un-tapped” potential do you expect to get out of him? More jumpshots? Sorry, I want my 6’ 9” guys to do more than hang around the 3 point line Jay. This is the NBA Jay, something you have very little experience in… so how about you stick to evaluating the college kids, can you do that for me kid, can you?

JVG: Wow, Danny, you’re a real prick.

Ainge: Hey, who let this bald little hobbit out of his hole? Look, you’re just another loser who has never won an NBA title Jeff, I am done answering to you guys. I have appeared in more playoff games than all of you combined, have won 2 titles as a player, 1 as a GM, while I got a “Journeyman overseas player”, a former point guard who thinks Kobe is a better player than Jordan and still plays with super balls, and a hobbit who came out of the shire for a few seasons only to make one NBA finals appearance, and was a perennial loser in the playoffs every other year. Hell, I even hit 2 home runs for the Toronto Blue Jays, so if ESPN has similar hacks covering their MLB draft, I may be available to cover that telecast for you… I’m out bitches.

Scott: Um, wow, I don’t know what to say. Here comes Stern.

Stern: We have another relocation to report. The Memphis Grizzlies will keep their name, and move back to Vancouver. Basketball doesn’t fit in Canada, but they’re no grizzlies in Memphis either, so lets just start over and put this franchise back in its birth town. With the 10th pick in the NBA Fantasy Draft, the Vancouver Grizzlies select Chris Bosh.

Scott:
Well there you have it folks. We are one third of the way through the first round of the first ever NBA Fantasy Draft. Make sure to join us after the break to find out if some former MVPs will finally hear their names called.
